Dr. Alan A. Winter, DDS, FACD is a board-certified periodontist having received his dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry in 1973. Dr. Winter completed his general dental residency at Bronx Municipal Hospital Center of Albert Einstein Medical School and received his periodontal certificate from Columbia University School of Dental Medicine (1976) where he was an Associate Professor in periodontics for twelve years from which he recently received their Distinguished Alumni Award. He received his BA from Rutgers College in New Brunswick, NJ where he gradated with distinction majoring in history.

Dr. Winter is the senior partner of Park Avenue Periodontal Associates, a prestigious Manhattan practice specializing in periodontics and Implantology, as well as the LANAP™ laser gum surgery. He is a scientific advisor to StemSave, a company dedicated to harvesting stem cells from teeth and the co-founder and CEO of i-dontics, LLC, the oldest dental teleradiology practice in the Northeast and a leading expert on 3D dental imaging.

Dr. Winter is an advisor to the Journal of Implant and Advanced Clinical Dentistry. He is a member of the national honorary society, OKU, the dental consultant for the national publication, the Bottom Line, a past-president of the Northeast Periodontal Society, and is presently an Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry at NYU College of Dentistry. Author of numerous scientific articles, he is a member of many dental societies and organizations and is a certified forensic dentist, having been trained at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology at Bethesda, MD. Dr. Winter lectures extensively both nationally and internationally on implant surgery and 3D imaging.

Dr. Julia Sivitz
A native of Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania, Dr. Julia Sivitz graduated in 2001 from American University cum laude with a bachelorís degree in psychology and a minor in special education. Dr. Sivitz was inducted into The Golden Key National Honor Society during her college years. She continued her education at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, earning the Alumni Clinical Excellence Award in Periodontology and the Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) in 2005. Subsequently, Dr. Sivitz entered the highly competitive Post-Graduate Program in Periodontics at Tufts, where she earned the Certificate in Periodontics in 2008. She became a diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology the following year.

Dr. Sivitz is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Board of Periodontology, the New York State Dental Association, and the New York County Dental Society where she serves as an Alternate Director At Large, having previously served as Chair of the Young Professionals Group. Dr Sivitz volunteers each year at the Greater New York Dental Meeting.

Everywhere she has lived, Dr. Sivitz has volunteered for community service. During college, dental school, periodontics training, and while working. She volunteered for the Special Olympics, AIDS Walk, Locks of love, with the Achilles Track Club, Jewish Community Center of Manhattan, Bínai Jeshurun Womenís Shelter, and with Rodeph Sholom Synagogue.

When Dr. Sivitz is not helping patients she enjoys kickboxing, spinning, cooking, and exploring New York City with her family.
